Dark Edition was foaled in 1993 was born black and stands 148cms
Dam Hillside Sylvia (the only stallion son out of this prolific mare). Sire Aran Flight. Dark edition is half brother to Monaghanstown Stud’s foundation mare April Star who was dam of Stallions Monaghanstown Fionn, Monghanstown Fred, Monaghanstown Pat and Wings of Victory. She is also granddam and greatgrandam to stallions Monaghanstown Prince and Paddy. Irishtown Diana is also a half sister to Dark Edition and she herself has her own legacy in the stallion sons Seafield Fionn and Murphy’s Oscar and broodmares including Irishtown Beauty Class winner in Clifden and also dam of Clifden Class winning mares Emloughlan Beauty (who is by Aran Flight), Derrygimbla Beauty and RDS and Clifden Supreme Champion Bunowen Beauty and Clifden class winning stallions Clonberne Boy and Bunowen Bobby.

Dark Edition has 9 inches of fantastic bone (which is very hard to find) and has substance and quality combined. He has a tremendous loose stride which eats the ground and a temperament second to none.

Here at the stud we now are lucky to have the 2nd crop of foals by our wonderful Dark Edition. He is breeding correct conformation, great temperament, super stride, qualilty and bone. We are delighted with the foals he has given us so far.
